Position Sensor / Scanner MPS

The position sensor/scanner detects the position of various winding materials, such as wire, flat wire, optical fibers, fiber optics, and ultra-fine wire.

Application Examples:

• Detection of wire or fiber positions with diameters from approx. 0.02 mm to 7 mm
• Non-contact monitoring of spool material
• Automatic straight unwinding
• Automatic layer-optimized winding

The scanner detects the position of the winding material orthogonally to the winding direction, making it ideal for precise unwinding. For certain spooled materials, such as solder or demanding winding processes, the position sensor is also used in combination with the spool scanner for optimized layer winding.

The position sensor detects even the finest wires or optical fibers with diameters as small as 7 µm.
